Minister of Local Self-Government Nevzat Bejta visited Centre

Minister of Local Self-Government, Nevzat Bejta, today visited the Centre for Development of the South-west Planning Region in Struga, interested about the functioning of this professional and administrative body of the Council for development. In conversation with the Manager of the Center for Development, Mirjana Lozanoska, Minister Bejta was informed for current operations of the Centre, and emphasis was placed of the financial obligations they have undertaken with municipalities to ensure full functionality of this institution.

Minister Bejta noted that the municipalities should take a more active role because Centre for Development is one of the vital institutions, on the level of planning regions, which may contribute to accelerated regional development. Moreover, he emphasized that from the visits to most Centers for Development has identified the problems they face, and vowed to push them to be overcome.

During the visit of the Minister Nevzat Bejta in the Centre for Development attended the President of the Council for Development, Ramis Merko, who said he expects all stakeholders at central and local level to contribute effectively to implement the Law on balanced regional development. According to Merko, Centre for Development, this year, successfully implements regional projects, on most of them are included all 13 municipalities from the region.
