Agreement for regional projects

Struga, 9th of July. With about 25 million denars from the central budget three projects in the South-west planning region will be financed to improve the energy efficiency of public buildings in four municipalities belonging to the Region, and will also improve the communal infrastructure through the reconstruction of the road infrastructure and preparation of technical documentation for road infrastructure in SWPR. The contracts for the realization of the projects have been signed with the Bureau for Regional Development, and they should be realized by the end of the year. The signing of the agreements was attended by Minister of Local Self-Government Suhejl Fazliu, Deputy Minister of Local Self-Government Dejan Pavleski, and the Director of the Bureau for regional development Ramiz Rexhepi.

 

 

In the South-west planning region with funds will be implemented infrastructure projects in the municipalities of Struga, Ohrid, Kicevo and Debrca. These are public buildings (two kindergartens, one school and one public building) in which energy efficiency will be improved through roof repair, replacement of carpentry, insulation of facades. With the second project will be prepared technical documentation for the road infrastructure in the SWPR, while the third project will be reconstructed the road infrastructure.

 

According to Minister Fazliu, the signing of the agreements is a step towards balanced regional development and improvement of the living conditions of citizens in all regions of the Republic of Macedonia.
- The Government of the Republic of Macedonia, for 2018, increased the funds for balanced regional development by over 50%. and 4.5 million euros this year will be invested in projects proposed by municipalities and planning regions based on their priorities. It is mainly about infrastructure projects or project documentation for larger projects, in order to be able to provide additional funds from donor sources or the IPA Program of the European Union, said Minister of Local Self-Government Suhail Fazliu.
