Branding the cheese 2

On 04.10.2013 in Centar Zupa was held the second workshop for the project "Branding typical diary products from Debar micro region". During the workshop ranchers managed to compile a SWOT analysis for the cheese production. The participants identified strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and risks for the cheese production. One of the goals of this project is to increase the quality and quantity of cheese, but to achieve this, farmers need to unify the recipe of cheese production and then can continue with the process of certification of the cheese.

One of the main obstacles blocking the development of farming in these areas is short period of time of rental of pastures from the Ministry of agriculture, forestry and water. This problem directly affects the reduction of investment in equipment and technology for the production of dairy products. The next meeting is scheduled on 10.18.2013 in Debar.
