Mirjana Lozanoska re-elected as Manager of the Centre for development

The current manager, Mirjana Lozanoska is re-elected as Manager of the Centre for development of Southwest planning region, at today's meeting of the Council for Development, which among other things were discussed issues related to regional development. Council members unanimously agreed that the Centre in the past have achieved significant results, but it appears necessary to achieve a greater degree of understanding with the Government in respect of funds allocated to address the imbalances within the region, as well as the development of Skopje regiona, compared to the other seven regions in the country.

Struga Mayor Ziadin Sela, who is president of the Council for development of the Southwest planning region, stressed the need to observe the Law on Balanced Regional Development, in which the development of regions, should be handed 1 percent of GDP, annually. If it does not happen regional policy will be only declarative commitment, said Sela.
